Ranch Raised Quality Simmental Cattle.

Is a family owned and operated ranch at Shiningbank Lake, AB. We began our journey into the Purebred Simmental business with the purchase of our first registered bred cow and heifer calf in 1991 and now have a registered herd of 350 Simmental cows. Our goal has been to raise a great herd of cattle based on sound feet, udders, longevity and good disposition and we have found that in the Simmental breed. Our herd program is 50% Full-blood Simmental and 50% Purebred Red Factor, with a few Blacks. Many of our cows go back to those original girls we purchased so many years ago, a real testament to those family lines!

All of our hard work and dedication to this farm resulted in many awards showing cattle in local fairs and 4H over the years. Our family hosts a Bull and Female Production Sale on the farm on the second Saturday of March each year. Our goal is to provide the producer with a moderate frame, high production ranch bull raised under realistic cattle working conditions. All of the bulls and heifers offered at our sale are put through a 5 day halter breaking program which makes them easier to work with and helps to recognize potential problems in disposition. We definitely feel it is worth the effort for our customers.

Our farm is located on the west side of Shiningbank Lake, between Edson and Whitecourt Alberta. Go west from Edmonton on Hwy # 16 to Hwy # 32, then north to Baseline Road, then west to Range Rd. #145, then follow that road until you reach our sign.
